The Job that I chose is business analyst. It is a job that helps an organization to improve how it conducts its functions and activities in order to reduce overall costs, provide more efficient use of resources, and better support customers. It introduces the notion of process orientation, of concentrating on and rethinking end-to-end activities that create value for customers, while removing unnecessary, non-value added work. The person who carries out this task is called a business analyst
The reason I chose this job is because I am interested in business. A business analyst or "BA" is responsible for analyzing the business needs of their clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems and propose solutions. Within the systems development life cycle domain, the business analyst typically performs a liaison function between the business side of an enterprise and the providers of services to the enterprise. Common alternative titles are business systems analyst, systems analyst, and functional analyst, although some organizations may differentiate between these titles and corresponding responsibilities.
The International Institute of Business Analysis has the following definition of the role: "A business analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. The business analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals."
This job will let me be exposing to the outside world and there will be many interesting project.
The responsibility of this job is providing proactive financial and operational analysis to support the general management's monthly financial performance, leading cross-functional and interdepartmental teams to create and improve keys processes and systems that affect finance, operation and sales or marketing. I will also conduct investigation and analysis for directors and managers to understand key business issues and provide critical information for planning will also coordinate the development of business and product line plans and provide cash flow, price and revenue analysis as well as determine variances between variance between bid and final cost of completed customer project. Lastly, I have to file legal documents for legal entities, representative offices, licenses and so on for Asia south and will also support internal audit and follow up of outcomes.
There are some Pre-requisites for the job like having a recognized degree in science, business or equivalent, possess at least five years of relevant work experience in a multinational working environment and good understanding of financial planning and analysis with initiative and the ability to work independently. These jobs also need a strong negotiation and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal English.
I have been trying my best in my studies and working for the O-levels. I am now trying to learn about business will have plans to guide me and after my O-levels, I will try to get into Singapore polytechnic to study more about business and when I grow older, I will help my father in his business.
