A Great Help

The rising sun filtered through the clouds.I set off early to school after eating my breakfast. Upon reaching the school,I wanted to finish reading the book that I borrowed from my friend before returning it to him.When the story start to get interesting,I recall that i have to ask my maths teacher about the topic I did not understand.As i was about to reach the staff room,I heard someone sobbing.As my curiosity arouse,I craned my neck strained mt eyes to see what lay ahead. To my astonishment, it was Sally ,a student from my class.At that time ,my eyes widened and my jaw dropped.Her legs and thighs were covered with ugly blue-black bruises and red scratches.
I quickly dropped my textbook and ask her what happen.She told me that she have a new step-father and he is ill-treating her while her mother did not know anything.He will always beat her and slap her face whenever he feels like it and her her miserable.I quickly run off panting as i half-run,half-walked to the stuff room.I told my form teacher what happen and she inform the police who they agree to help.
The police went to sally's house and told him what happen.Sally's mother was shock and started crying.The police gave Sally's step-father a fine and was force to leave the family.That day sally thank me my my generous help.As she flashed a bored grin at me,i also felt happy.

A Good Deed

Dark grey clouds filled the sky,looming ahead like heavy curtain,and soon the clear blue skies gave way to menacing dark clouds and a quickening wind and then it started to rain.I was playing basketball with my best friends in a nearby basketball court.i quickly took my belonging and dash off.As i was running,streaks of bright light scratched at the dark sky.I quickly run to the a shelter as i know it would be very dangerous to be in the open.As i waited under a HTB flat,the storm raged on for hours.As the rain blurred the distant image of a shop.I strained my eyes to see what lay ahead.To my astonishment,i saw a man beating up a shopkeeper of a jewellery shop,then he took his gun and pointed at the hostages.The situation was chaotic and I did not know what to do.There were nobody at that street i could ask for help due to the rain.

I quickly took out my cellphone to inform the police and tell then what happen ,mean while ,I was watching what happen in the jewellery shop.With a grunt charged with exasperation,he reach out and with a forceful tug,the gold chain,together with a one -inch-long jade Buddha,slipped effortlessly into his hand.As he was about to leave the shop,the shopkeeper snatched the bag of valuable.As the robber point the gun at the shopkeeper and about to shot to end his life,i risk my life and took a baseball bat which i found in a alley and hit the robber head.

As the robber stay unconscious bleeding profusely,i quickly untie the hostages and take them to safety.Not long the police came and arrest the robber.I was rewarded with a medal from the police for using my initiative and a big diamond ring from the shopkeeper for save his shop.That day i went home in cloud-nine.

The competition

Fluffy white clouds waltzed across the vast blue sky as a gentle breeze blew.Kent,gopah and I were preparing for the annual frog catching competition.After we ate our breakfast,we took our net and bucket and put it in my mother's car and she drove us to pula ubin,Kent gopah and i were best friends since primary school and we entered the competition every year but we didn't have luck winning although we tried our best.The reason we entered the frog competition is because we all like frog and we prefer to catch then instead of eating them and this year the winning team will each get an I POD 8GB.When we reach there,the sun was so hot that there is a stinging sensation on my skin.When came down the car,the sound of frog were every where.Just looking in the muddy water we could see dozens of frog.As we get ready to get down the swarm of muddy water,our rival came,they were last year champion.As we stand on the dry ground waiting for the weser to be blown,we get ours elf prepared and tightly grip our net and bucket.
"BEEEEEE" the weser was blown,"splash"every one came down the muddy water and catch as many frog they could hold on.As i was catching the frog,i saw a sea snake,i knew that sea snake are highly venomous so i quickly shout and inform the rest.every one threw away their bucket and ran to higher ground and i also ran off.While we waited for the sea snake to swim off ,the organizer forbid to enter the lake.As i am the only one with frog they declare my group the winning and give us the prize .I also had and award from the police for wise think.That day ,kent,gopah and I went home in cloud-nine.

An unluckly day

In distance,the sky grew brighter as the sun crept above the horizon lazily.As i was preparing for school,my father give me a good luck charm and told me to be careful on the way to school.I then realise that it was Friday the 13,as i was not superstitious,i didn't believe in those stuff so i place the good luck charm at home.While i was walking to school that day, i saw a black cat sitting on the grass i didn't really care and walk pass it and the next thing i know i slipped and fell face-down on a puddle of murky water.i was turned into a sorry looking mess.I realise that the water had a terrible smell,and as i looking carefully in the water,i saw dog poop in the water.I quickly went to school i clean up.After that i recall the situation and i told myself that it because i wasn't walking properly.During lesson time, i realise that i forget to bring some of my textbook,and because of that,my various teacher punished me and i have to write many pages of line.
During recess,i found a basketball that no was playing so i took it and started bouncing and not long later,the ball bounce off and damage the notice board.The glass form it was broken into many pieces.Not only i have to pay for the damage notice board i became more unlucky,i failed almost every test paper given back.I started to believe that it was because of Friday the13.

After school,i quickly walked home carefully but as i walked pass a construction side,My wallet fell under a wooden lader i took and walked under the lader,then it started to rain.When i came back i was denched, and i became sick.I quicly took the good luck charm and stood the rest of the day.

The March holiday

After the growth camp,it was the march holiday,during the first day of the march holiday,the monday,i went to school for a class of a maths class,it was very useful as i learn many fun and usefulm things that i can use during real life.After that when i came back,i revise my schoolwork and do my holiday homework.The next day,one of my old school friend came to my house,we had alot of fun playing together ,we also chat about our new school and our new friends,then we went out.We went to heartland mall to shop.Then when i came,my mother brought us to my grandparents homes to pay a visit.when we reach there,my cousin was also there,we chated and play untill it was time to go home.The next day i went for a ncc camp,it was athree days two night camp.The first day we had many games and we had our ncc teat.the next day,we pratices on our drills and in the evening,we a a BBQ,i had a lot of fun.The next day,we pratise our drills agian and at noon,we went home.The next day,the satuday,i quickly finish my homework and prepear for the school reopen.That is how i spent my march holiday.

Growth camp

During the last three days before the march holidays,our school organise a camp for the whole school called growth camp.During the three days two night camp,the lower secondary will be staying in school for all the games and activity and the upper secondary will be send to another place for the program.During the first day,we report to school as usual,7.15 sharp and caring on with out national anthem.Then we carry on once the instructors came.The first game was was a team activity when ten of us has to tangle our hand and try to untangle it and form a circle.We also played many fun and interesting game after that.After the game,we had to make a team flag and compose a cheer. After we finish making a flag,we went to practice our cheer.After that was lunch,the food was not very nice,it was very horrible,the rice was uncooked and the meat taste like pudding.After that horrible meal,we have to stand under the hot sun and watch how the instructor built the tent,although we could learned how the built a tent,we were all very unhappy that we have to built it under the burning hot sun.Then we carry out many activity,some were fun but some wasn't.At night,we played a game which i think was very fun and interesting.The game is called kidnapped.The game started when one of your teammate goes missing and we have to do many activity and needed a lot of teamwork.I had quite alot of fun that day.The next day,the whole of secondary two went to sungei bulboh as we had many activity for different subject.When we reached there,it was rather humid and There were many mosquitoes.After four hour for long walk,we finish to the last station and was about to walk back to the bus,i couldn't feel my legit was numb,after a while,my leg wasn't numb anymore.When we came back to school,We and our lunch,As usual,it wasn't very good and i had problem digesting
the food.After lunch was a very interesting activity,It was a game where we have to stay as a team a throe water ball at other team.After the game i was drenched and we went to bath.Later that night,we had our campfire,there were cheers,song and program acted my us.The next morning,After our breakfest,we had to keep our tent after that,we have the rest of the time to ourself.At noon,we went home.

About myself

My name is Darren chua shao wei,this year i am already14.I have a pair of loving parents,and two other bigger sister.I like being the youngest as i always get the advantage.I have many pets at home,i have a parrot of my own,a sun couner.Well i like to many things to pass my time like to kill insect,go shopping, wacth television,jogging,swimming,floorball, playing gameboy and many others interesting things.i use to collect bionicles last time but i do not do it now.I was first from ST franis kindergarden when i had a lot of fun there,then when i was primary 1,i when to monfort junior and then,when i was primary 4, i was transfer to serangoon garden south school because i had move house.I prefer seragoon garden south school as i made more friends and the teacher over there are much kind and friendly.after that i when to chong boon secondary school.As the subject increase,i like lower secondary science and history.I think chong boon secondary school is a very good school as i learn many interesting thing and i gain more knowledge.I hope I can achieve more and mave a better reusult for my work.I would strive hader to have a better future.
